Meditation in the Gnostic Light (Dublin & Galway)
"An exploration of two possible aspects of meditation. In one we find the liberating truth, while in the other we do not."
Many of us are familiar with the concept of meditation. We might know it as silencing our system of thoughts and directing our attention inwards, to an inner source. This has always been since ancient times it's goal. Nowadays there is a great public interest in the inner path, many mediation methods to choose from, numerous books and teachings on the subject. These are advertised with recommendations such as "Prevent Stress", "Increase your creativity and energy" etc. Is it still possible to find the clear silver sound of the truth through meditation? From a Rosicrucian point of view, there are two possible aspects of meditation. In one we find the liberating truth, while in the other we do not. In this lecture we will explore what meditation really is and how it may help us in a process of connecting ourselves with an unknown but yet very familiar inner source to ultimately enter into the living truth itself.
